Jazz of New Orleans

Jazz of New Orleans Screeenshot

True New Orleans Jazz is Dixieland, the only true American music form. It emerged in the Mississippi Delta in the early 1900s by combining elements of brass band marches, ragtime and blues. Pure Dixieland comes from the trumpet and its greatest practitioner was Louis Armstrong who was born in the City of New Orleans around the same time as jazz – 1901. Play, n Go has married the most American of music with the least American of cities in its mobile slots game Jazz of New Orleans.

Jazz of New Orleans is a five-reel mobile slots game with 5 pay lines. You can start the music playing for just 0.05 coins but you will need to wager at least 0.10 coins to be eligible for a progressive jackpot. There are three of them at play in the clubs around New Orleans. There is also an Auto Play option and a Bet Max option.

Theme

For a Swedish company Play’n Go has done its New Orleans jazz homework. You get a representative array of instruments including a trumpet and keyboards. A jazz saxophone player and sultry lady singer are on display. You get atmospheric depictions of the New Orleans French Quarter, including its trademark wrought iron architecture. About the only mis-step the Scandinavians take is with the crab dinner. New Orleans is known for its seafood gumbo but that shellfish of choice are crawdads, not crabs.

Features

The Wild is the neon Jazz New Orleans Club Sign and it will substitute for all other symbols save for the Scatter to mould winning combinations, although there are no multipliers involved. That Scatter is a Crescent Moon, riffing off the nickname sometimes used for New Orleans – The Crescent City. Again, Play’n Go keeping Google busy. The Scatter does not activate free spins but delivers a multiplier – 5X for three, 25X for four and 75X your stake for five.

On its own the Club Sign will trigger the Bonus Game when it appears three times consecutively anywhere on the reels. You will then be deposited on the streets of New Orleans where you must select which of five jazz clubs to patronize, a choice that will determine the number of free spins you receive, up to 25. The you must decide which of five instruments you want to hear that will determine the number of extra Wilds you will get during the set of free spins, up to five. The bonus can be re-triggered up to a total of 200 free spins.

During play you will need to keep an eye out for a gold ring which will appear around the symbols from time to time. The jackpots are approached when you receive three, four or five gold rings. Three jackpot spins enable you to spin the Bronze Wheel and four give you a crack at the Silver Wheel. The Bronze and Silver wheels offer a chance at the Golden Wheel and its Dream Chance Jackpot.

After any win you will get a chance to exercise the Gamble Feature. You can Double Up or Triple Up your bounty by picking symbols. You can test your luck up to ten times in a row or if you actually beat those odds, up to £50,000.00. Or you can just keep you winnings and groove to the notes.
